Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Research Engineer to join our team in support of specialized military cyber operations. You’ll be a critical member of a small team, responsible for research and development of cyber capabilities. Join our team of best\-in\-industry cyber warriors who are dedicated to providing superior service in support of national defense objectives.
This position can be remote, hybrid, or in\-person. Candidates willing to be hybrid and able to work in a classified environment at one of Parsons’ offices in Centreville, Chantilly, or Herndon, VA are preferred.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform vulnerability research / reverse engineering (VR/RE) against a variety of hardware and software targets
- Allocate tasking to support larger\-scale cyber tool development
- Perform testing and integration of cyber tools
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related technical field and 10\+ years of professional related experience; Master's degree in related field will be considered in lieu of 4 years on experience
- 10\+ years utilizing programming languages such as Python, C, C\+\+, x86
- 5\+ years of experience in vulnerability research and/or cyber tool development
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Experience developing in Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with CI / CD Pipelines and version control (Git)
Desired Qualifications:
- 10\+ years of experience in vulnerability research and/or cyber tool development
- Cross\-Platform Windows\-Linux development
- Experience with Windows Internals and/or Linux kernel level programming
- Knowledge of concurrent application development concepts (multi\-threaded and/or distributed)
- Familiarity with antivirus evasion techniques
- Assembly languages (x86, ARM, MIPS, etc)
- Additional Operating Systems (Android, iOS, OSX)
- Certified/trained in one or more of the following: Corelan Bootcamp/Advanced, ManTech ACTP Windows/Linux/VR\&E, OSCP, OSED, OSWE
- Experience supporting USCYBERCOM, NSA, DoD cyber operations, or related mission environments
