Amazon SageMaker Studio is the fully integrated development environment tailored for machine learning, and is growing rapidly to be the tool of choice for machine learning scientists and practitioners all around the world. All AI/ML development activities including notebooks, experiment management, automatic model creation, debugging, and model and data drift detection can be performed within SageMaker Studio. We support many popular frameworks for deep learning and we're rapidly expanding our IDE offerings to include both web\-based and local development experiences.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead a team of engineers building the agentic guided experience on SageMaker Studio. You will own the end\-to\-end development and delivery of IDE experiences \- including JupyterLab, Code Editor, and emerging local IDE integrations \- that serve millions of data scientists, ML engineers, and developers worldwide.

A day in the life
- As the primary owner of our team's IDEs and managing the platform where they are hosted
- Lead strategic vision of Agent infrastructure to build next generation of SageMaker AI
- Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, and other engineers to propose, design, and deliver customer\-facing features
- Collaborate with SDMs and PEs on roadmap planning and prioritization
- Lead project execution, taking the most complex parts yourself and delegating others to teammates
- Be an active participant in recurring mechanisms like standups, ops meetings, and status reporting
- Lead by example and actively mentor teammates to increase their performance and reach their career goals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4\+ years of non\-internship professional software development experience
- 4\+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 4\+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5\+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign\-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
